Terms of Service

Last updated: March 31, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DropBot service operated by DropBot ("we", "us", "our"). By using DropBot, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

DropBot provides an AI-powered chatbot widget that you can embed on your website. The chatbot answers visitor questions based on Q&A content you provide and captures lead information when it cannot answer.

2. Account

  • You must sign in with a valid Google account to use DropBot.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
  • One person or entity per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DropBot to:

  • Distribute illegal, harmful, or misleading content through your chatbot
  • Collect personal information from visitors without appropriate disclosure
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Use the service for spam, phishing, or any form of abuse
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the widget or backend

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all Q&A content, bot configuration, and business information you provide to DropBot. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for operating the chatbot on your behalf.

You are responsible for ensuring that your Q&A content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe on any third-party rights.

5. Visitor Data

When visitors interact with your chatbot, conversation data and any voluntarily submitted lead information are stored by DropBot and made accessible to you through your dashboard.

You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR, CCPA) regarding any personal data collected from your website visitors through the chatbot. DropBot displays a privacy notice on the widget, but you should ensure your own website privacy policy covers chatbot interactions.

6. Plans and Billing

  • Free Plan: Available at no cost with limited features. No credit card required.
  • Paid Plans (Pro, Business): Billed monthly through Polar. You can cancel anytime — your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.
  • Prices are in USD and may change with 30 days' notice.
  • Usage limits (conversations, Q&A count, number of bots) are per bot and reset monthly.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7. Usage Limits

Each plan has conversation and Q&A limits. When a bot exceeds its monthly conversation limit, the chatbot will display a message directing visitors to your contact information. The chatbot will resume normal operation at the start of the next billing cycle or upon plan upgrade.

8. AI and Accuracy

DropBot uses AI language models to generate responses based on your Q&A content. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete
  • You are responsible for reviewing and maintaining your Q&A content to ensure quality
  • DropBot is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on chatbot responses

9. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

10. Account Closure

If you wish to close your account, please contact us at support@dropbot.me. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice when possible.

Upon account closure, all your data — including Q&A content, conversations, lead captures, and bot configuration — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DropBot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
